Hello everyone! Jack Reyome will be in the studio doing this month’s demonstration. If you’ve been in the club awhile Jack probably needs no introduction. If you are relatively new, Jack is a lifetime member of the club and was very active until he packed up and moved to the beach a few years ago. Jack served 27 years in the USAF followed by another 20 working for the Hendricks NASCAR team. He started turning in 2008, loves to make his own tools and jigs and generously shares his turning knowledge. We are happy to have him back in town and doing a ‘Lidded Box’ demonstration.
In order to turn a successful box, there is much more than just adding a lid. Jack will be going through wood considerations, thoughts on design, tool usage and even some embellishment techniques. I’ve never watched Jack demo without picking up an idea or two.
You’re encouraged to join us in the studio, but as usual if you can’t make it we will be broadcasting on Zoom.
